Location & History
- The Fur Trading Post, also known as Engle's Store, Warner's Lake; was built by Jay Engle and his wife Lydia E. Kirkpatrick Engle in the early 1900s. Jay was remembered as a teller of tall tales and for the pet bear he kept at his home.
- Harold Pangburn and his wife, Agnes bought the property in the 1940s and renamed it Pangburn's. They ran it as a snack bar and bathing beach for many years.
- Willard Osterhout, and his wife Jerrine Kane Osterhout, have owned the property since 1970 and it is now their private residence.
